Saying yes to Jesus doesn’t automatically make you a disciple. In the Scriptures, Jesus Himself tells us what it means to follow Him and what we must be willing to do.

In Matthew 16:24, He says,

“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross

and follow me.”

Jesus means what He says, and there is no way around His words. So, let’s journey through this lesson, count the cost, and receive the courage we need to follow Him.

looks like?

Minister to one another through prayer and the Word of God.

WORSHIP

Play ‘Jesus Have it All’ by Jeremy Riddle and give your heart to Jesus again.

GO DEEPER

This week, set aside time to find a quiet place of solitude where it’s just you and the Lord. Take a pen and paper and write down everything precious or valuable in your life, including your loved ones, family, wealth, career, dreams, and plans. Go through each item one by one, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal whether you are holding too tightly to any of these treasures. Take time to surrender each one to the Lord, yielding your will to His and deciding to bear your cross.
